Position: Service Technician
Job Summary: Full-time boiler technician to complete service calls and installations at W.C. Rouse customer locations. The position will be based at one of our office locations in Greensboro, Charlotte, Columbia or Wilmington. To be an effective member of our team, the individual must be a self-starter, responsible, want to learn, take pride in performing quality work, and be able to communicate effectively with our customers.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules;
- Monitor system functioning for the purpose of recognizing potential problems;
- Ensure compliance with and adherence to applicable codes, ordinances, building, and safety standards regarding heating and boiler systems installation;
- Respond to emergency or critical incidents in order to resolve issues;
- Troubleshoot, supervise, and/or make repairs on boilers and auxiliary boiler room equipment;
- Boiler repair, installation, inspection, tune ups.
Desire 5 years of experience working on and maintaining all boiler types and classifications including fire-tube, water-tube, cast iron, copper fin, steam, hydronic, low and high pressure boiler systems.
Extensive knowledge and experience with combustion tuning and control is required.
Working knowledge with associated boiler room equipment, such as feed water systems, deaerators and economizers is also required.
Provide clear, accurate, customer-focused verbal and written communication.
Android tablet competence and basic computer skills, including TechAnywhere, e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Valid drivers’ license issued by state of residence and in good standing.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Salary/Other: Compensation based on experience and expertise. There is a 90 day probationary period from the date of hire, after which a decision on full-time employment will be made.
